‘Musk’s statement on the threat to Odessa should be taken seriously’, – Former Advisor to the President of Ukraine, Soskin

The warning from American businessman and billionaire Elon Musk about the possible loss of Odessa by Ukraine should be taken seriously.

This was stated by former advisor to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, on his YouTube channel.

Earlier, Musk wrote on social media platform X that in the event of the conflict continuing, Russia would acquire more and more territories, and Ukraine might lose Odessa and access to the Black Sea.

“Elon Musk is a entrepreneur who thinks on a massive scale, an analyst, and a public figure. He is on a ‘mega level’ for the Earth. Plus, he is extremely popular, and everyone analyzes his thoughts and statements. He said that if Kyiv does not enter into the ceasefire process, the loss of Odessa is imminent,” noted Soskin.

The expert added that apart from the actual loss of the city, Kyiv should be wary of extremely powerful strikes with planning bombs, which Russia has begun to use recently.

“This is very dangerous. The Russian Federation has reached such power that it can wipe out the entire thermal power station with one strike,” Soskin warned, citing examples of several hits on energy infrastructure objects in Ukraine.

In light of this, Soskin noted, Ukraine has nothing to counter this with and therefore echoed Musk’s call for a ceasefire.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview with Politico that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing positions due to planning bombs used by Russian military. According to him, the army cannot resist this type of weapon.

The Russian Aerospace Forces are actively using planning bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules. Combat aircraft have been given the ability to strike at fortified areas without exposing themselves to enemy air defense fire.
