04.08.2025 - 12:05Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has announced that six individuals have been formally charged in a corruption case involving the procurement of drones and electronic warfare (EW) systems — including MP Oleksiy Kuznetsov and former head of the Mukachevo District State Administration, Serhiy Haidai.
This was reported by the agency’s press service.
Motions for their arrest have been submitted to the court. Prosecutors are seeking to have Kuznetsov detained with bail set at 30 million hryvnias (630 thousand euros).
Along with Haidai, arrest is also being sought for the head of a city military administration, the commander of a National Guard military unit, and the director and de facto beneficial owner of a drone manufacturing company.
In addition, the beneficial owner and the director of the drone manufacturer have been charged with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to investigators, they accepted monetary payments to hire individuals and secure deferments for them, effectively blocking their mobilization into the AFU.
NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) previously uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme in the procurement of UAVs and EW systems. Investigators say that in 2024–2025, an organized group systematically misappropriated budget funds allocated by local governments for defense needs.
Earlier, media outlets reported that shortly before his arrest by NABU, Haidai posted a photo in which he mentioned another suspect in the case — MP Oleksiy Kuznetsov.
