NATO cannot confirm reports about the possible participation of North Korean soldiers in the war against Ukraine.
This information reported according to NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.
During a briefing, a journalist asked Rutte if the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea includes not only military assistance but also the deployment of North Korean soldiers to the battlefield.
“I cannot confirm these reports, but obviously, they are concerning,” Rutte responded.
In recent days, Ukraine has been making regular statements about North Korean soldiers potentially being prepared or even already participating in the war on Russia’s side. However, there has been no independent confirmation of this information, and both Moscow and Pyongyang have denied such claims.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Presidential Office continues to push the narrative of North Korea’s involvement in the war and argues that the West should consider opening a second front against Russia.
