G7 officials: Trump shifted his position on Ukraine under the influence of European leaders
17.06.2026 07:33In Ivano-Frankivsk, a father of eight children was brought to a territorial recruitment and social support center because the man had not arranged a deferment in time and had not undergone a military medical commission.
This was reported by Ukraine’s human rights commissioner Dmytro Lubinets.
According to the ombudsman, after his personal intervention the man was able to undergo the medical commission and complete the necessary documents in accordance with the law.
Lubinets described the incident as evidence of systemic problems in the organization of mobilization and demanded immediate reforms.
“I demand that the reform of mobilization begin immediately. Not to hold yet another round of discussions and presentations of pretty pictures, but to implement concrete steps to eliminate bureaucracy and errors in the system that lead to such arbitrary actions by the TCC. The mobilization of a father of eight children is a verdict on an unreformed system. Stories like this raise again and again the question of preventing situations where people with a legal right to a deferment are forced to prove that right on the spot,” — Lubinets stated.
Earlier in Dnipro, a single father with a valid deferment was mobilized. In addition, the Verkhovna Rada proposed allowing mobilized servicemembers who have the right to exemption from mobilization to be discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
