One of Trump’s associates stated that the war in Ukraine started because of the ‘Nord Streams,’ and that Europe will deal with it

One of the associates of presidential candidate Richard Grenell has stated that Europe will have to address the problem of Ukraine if Donald Trump wins the presidency. Grenell is considered a contender for the position of Secretary of State.

He mentioned this in an interview with Bild.

“The war in Ukraine is in your backyard. If there were a war in Mexico, we would be doing most of the work, if not all of it. And we certainly wouldn’t be asking the Germans for help if there were a war in Mexico,” Grenell said.

In contrast, Trump will talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin, unlike Joe Biden.

“Biden hasn’t talked to him (Putin) once in three years. I believe that communicating with people is a tactic. It’s not a goal, not a solution, but it leads us there,” Grenell added.

He accused the German government of “not listening to the people” and not adhering to the principle of “Germany above all.” Otherwise, in his opinion, “Germany could have become Donald Trump’s favorite country.”

He considers “Nord Stream 2” to be one of the reasons for the war in Ukraine.

“The German government had a terrible approach to Donald Trump’s policies. Today, I can assert that ‘Nord Stream 2’ became one of the reasons why there is a war in Ukraine. The German government did not listen to Donald Trump. I would like an apology for this,” Grenell stated.
