Abolition of live queue: Ukrainians abroad will be able to apply for a passport only by electronic appointment
April 15, 2024‘There will be no demobilization law until the end of the martial law’, – Bezuhla said
April 15, 2024The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has restricted the application of the resolution allowing some Ukrainian students to travel abroad for internships only to students of state and municipal universities.
This was stated in the response of the Ministry of Education to media inquiries.
This permission does not apply to students of private universities. According to the department, this could create a risk of “illegal leakage abroad to avoid mobilization.”
Earlier, it became known that in the new draft law on mobilization, the deferment for postgraduates is retained.
At the same time, against the backdrop of mobilization in Ukraine, the rules for admission to graduate school have been tightened. Starting this year, in order to enter graduate school (even on a contract basis), applicants will need to pass a unified entrance exam, which consists of two parts – an exam in a foreign language (scoring at least 130 points) and general educational competence (not lower than 100 points).
Previously, educational competence was only required for admission to the “Law” program. And the foreign language exam was a regular part of university admissions, not a “Unified Entrance Exam.”
Moreover, there are now also restrictions on timing. Everyone who wants to enter graduate school must register for this exam only on specific dates – from May 7 to May 29. The exam itself will be scheduled from June 24 to July 15. An additional registration period is provided from June 17 to June 21 for those who miss the main “session.”
