Orbán called Zelensky a comedian playing the role of president

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky represents a new type of politician — a comedian playing the role of president.

This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in an interview with the YouTube channel Patriota.

“This is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. What should we call it? Well, a politician-influencer, a politician-actor, or, ultimately, a comedian. That is, someone who ended up in a position for which his past did not prepare or train him,” Orbán said.

According to him, he tried to have a conversation with Zelensky about “deeper connections,” but realized that it wasn’t working, saying, “I was really sitting across from a comedian.”

Orbán also stated the conditions for achieving peace in Ukraine. He emphasized that a personal meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump is necessary. The Hungarian Prime Minister added that without such a meeting, the situation will remain tense for “many, many more months.”
