Orbán predicted Europe’s collapse because of Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has predicted that Europe will collapse because of Ukraine.

He wrote about this on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

“Ukraine is asking for €800 billion over the next decade, not counting military spending (…) This path weakens Europe and leads it to economic collapse,” the politician said.

He added that if Hungary agrees to provide financial support to Kyiv, it would have to give up social support for its own people. Orbán stressed that Hungary will put its own citizens first, not Ukraine.

Earlier, the prime minister called aid to Ukraine a bottomless waste of money. He said there is no point in providing financial support to Kyiv because corruption is widespread in the country. He added that Brussels will have to admit that Ukraine is making Europe weaker.
