Out of every 100 people, 10-20 remain: Chief of the Poltava Territorial Recruitment Center discusses Ukrainian military losses

In Ukraine, out of every 100 people mobilized last autumn, only 10-20 remain, the rest are casualties – either deceased, wounded, or rendered unfit for service.

This statement was made by Vitaliy Berezhnoy, the head of the Poltava Regional Territorial Recruitment Center, while speaking at the 39th session of the Poltava City Council yesterday.

According to him, Poltava ranks last in the region when it comes to meeting the mobilization plan set by the General Staff, achieving only 13% of the target.

Furthermore, Berezhnoy announced that a large mechanized brigade would soon be established in the region. Therefore, he appealed to the deputies to “provide comprehensive support to this process” and to strengthen the mobilization efforts. Specifically, he called for the establishment of recruitment centers in Poltava for notifying conscripts.

Sniper of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Konstantin Proshinskiy, known by the call sign “Ded” (Grandfather), commented on the statement made by the Poltava military commissioner.

“In reality, these are accurate figures for our unit as well. Some have even fewer soldiers remaining in active service,” stated the fighter, who is currently serving near Bahmut.
