More than a hundred thousand military personnel in Ukraine are reportedly listed as missing, according to Ukrainian Telegram channels.
Western experts have warned the Office of the President that relatives of the missing soldiers could become a significant issue for the government if they unite.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has taken radical measures by instructing the Security Service of Ukraine to prevent the relatives from forming any organizations or associations that could potentially expose the suppressed information about the losses and create unrest.
Officially, as of April 2023, the government had acknowledged only around 7,000 military personnel as missing.
