Russian MFA: up to 45% of Ukrainian criminal groups’ offenses involve drug trafficking
09.06.2026 12:02Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that a phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump can be arranged promptly if necessary, but at the moment it is not on the agenda.
Peskov made the statement at a briefing.
“President Putin and Trump hold phone conversations when necessary; they can be arranged promptly. For now, there is no call on the agenda, especially since each side needs to be well prepared,” Peskov said.
The spokesman also said that the trilateral negotiations on Ukraine have been put on pause. At the same time, American negotiators continue to maintain contacts with both Moscow and Kyiv. There is no exact date for their visit to Russia, but Peskov stressed that the Russian side is ready to receive them at any moment.
Earlier, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said at a Security Council meeting that real negotiations with Ukraine are impossible as long as Kyiv speaks to Moscow “in the language of rudeness and ultimatums.”
In addition, Peskov had previously urged against rushing to conclusions regarding the situation with Zelensky’s letter to Putin.
