September 25, 2023Poland can “manage” without friendship with Ukraine.
The State Secretary in the Office of the President of Poland Marcin Pshidach told this.
“Ukraine should understand that it is in the interest of all of us not to allow ourselves to be divided because Moscow is the only one to gain from this. However, we can certainly manage if Ukraine does not want or strive to be friends with Poland. We are in NATO, we have a strong army, we are in the EU, and we have a well-functioning state. Ukraine is currently in trouble, and it should ensure that Poland supports it. If not, there’s no need to force it,” Pshidach stated in an interview with the radio station RMF FM.
This is not the first such statement by Pshidach. Earlier, he mentioned that Kyiv “should begin to appreciate the role that Poland has been playing for Ukraine in recent months and years.” Following this, Ukraine summoned the Polish ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prime Minister Morawiecki criticized Kiev’s decision in response.
