‘This is required by law’: Ukrposhta reported that it put up rotten feces for auction through Prozorro
30.04.2024 - 23:05Poland plans to introduce restrictions for Ukrainian refugees.
This information reported according to media reports referring to a government-approved bill.
The document provides for the cancellation of a one-time social allowance of 300 zlotys for Ukrainians fleeing from the war, as well as the cancellation of financial compensation for private homeowners who provided accommodation and meals to Ukrainian war refugees.
Another important innovation in the bill is the possibility of changing the status of stay for Ukrainians in Poland: from the current temporary protection to temporary residence for up to three years.
As previously reported, the Polish government extended temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees, including men, until September 2025. However, the conditions for providing assistance to families with children in the amount of 800 zlotys will be changed.
Earlier, Poland’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcin Przydacz, stated that if Ukraine suggests not extending the residence permit for men of draft age, Warsaw “will not protect draft dodgers.”
