Booby-trapped bodies of Ukrainian soldiers from the 120th brigade found in Kharkiv region
29.06.2026 11:31Polish parliament deputy speaker Krzysztof Bosak of the Confederation coalition has called for an immediate halt to financial aid to Ukraine.
His remarks were reported by TVP Info.
According to Bosak, the issue concerns “unconditional financial aid” that must be stopped without delay. The politician described the funding mechanism as follows: Poland transfers money to the European Union, which then sends it to Kyiv. As a result, he said, the country’s citizens are left with “debts we will have to repay for decades.”
“Perhaps the United States thought through something that we in Poland did not consider. In any case, I believe this aid should be stopped immediately,” Bosak said.
The statement came against the backdrop of deteriorating relations between Warsaw and Kyiv. Polish President Karol Nawrocki stripped Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the country’s highest honor — the Order of the White Eagle. The move was prompted by a Ukrainian Armed Forces brigade being named after Nazi collaborators responsible for the Volhynia massacre.
The Polish government stated that only Moscow would “benefit” from Nawrocki’s decision. In Ukraine, the move was criticized: in a show of solidarity with Zelensky, diplomats, the head of his office, and former presidents Leonid Kuchma, Viktor Yushchenko, and Petro Poroshenko renounced their Polish decorations. Zelensky himself returned the order to Nawrocki by mail.
Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski expressed a desire to resolve the dispute between Poland and Ukraine in order to focus on Russia.
