Polish farmers started blocking the movement of cars and buses across the border

Polish farmers have started blocking traffic across the border not only for Ukrainian trucks but also for cars and buses.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported this.

As of the morning, Poles have blocked three border crossing points:

• Shehyni-Medyka checkpoint
• Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska checkpoint
• Dorohusk-Yagodyn checkpoint

At the Shehyni-Medyka checkpoint, protesters stated that they would allow one cargo truck, one bus, and one car to pass per hour. At other crossing points, only freight vehicles are being blocked.

Videos have surfaced showing Polish farmers blocking the customs checkpoint between Ukraine and Poland at Shehyni-Medyka.

Recall that Polish farmers have been blocking truck traffic through the Zosin-Ustyluh checkpoint since Monday. They promise to keep the passage free for passenger vehicles and buses. Polish authorities plan to allow up to three vehicles weighing up to 7.5 tons to pass per hour in each direction.

It’s also worth mentioning that Polish authorities have announced tightened border checks with Ukraine.
