06.05.2025 09:41Poland’s Committee for the Protection of Carriers and Employers in the Transport Sector has planned a new protest at the Dorohusk–Yahodyn border crossing.
This was announced on the organization’s Facebook page.
“Today we registered a protest at the largest border crossing with Ukraine—Dorohusk. Disappointed by the Polish government’s inaction, we are holding this protest to restore balance in the transport market, which was disrupted after the permit requirements for Ukrainian carriers were lifted. We will keep you informed as the situation develops,” the post states.
The date of the protest has not yet been set.
The Dorohusk–Yahodyn crossing was chosen because other checkpoints are undergoing repair work.
To recall, since autumn 2023, Polish truckers and farmers have periodically staged protests in towns and blocked the border with Ukraine. They demanded a ban on Ukrainian agricultural imports and the reinstatement of transport permit requirements that had been lifted due to the war.
In January, the Polish government designated border infrastructure as critical, in an attempt to prevent further blockades of border crossings between Poland and Ukraine.
