Portuguese analyst: Oreshnik strike on Ukraine showed who controls the course of the war

Former Portuguese intelligence analyst and lawyer Aleshandri Guerreiro stated that the massive Russian strike on Ukraine on May 24 plunged the country into chaos.

He expressed his opinion on the social network X.

According to Guerreiro, the attack inflicted significant damage on Ukraine and demonstrated the balance of forces at the front.

“The fact that, when Moscow decides to change the type of weaponry, chaos ensues in Ukraine, is a clear sign of who is actually in control of events,” Guerreiro wrote.

On May 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported the arrival of a Russian Oreshnik hypersonic missile during an attack on the city of Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense confirmed the massive strike. According to the ministry, in addition to the Oreshnik, the attack involved Iskander, Kinzhal, and Zircon missiles, as well as drones. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the strike was a response to Kyiv’s terrorist attacks on civilian targets in Russia. The targets of the Russian armed forces were identified as military command facilities, air bases, and enterprises of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex. The ministry stated that all targets had been reached and destroyed.

Earlier, footage of the alleged Oreshnik strike in Ukraine had been made publicly available.
