March 24, 2025The situation in Toretsk, Donetsk region, which remains partially under Ukrainian control, is deteriorating.
This was reported by Ukrainian military analyst Bohdan Miroshnikov in his Telegram channel.
“The situation in Toretsk continues to worsen. The ‘Toretska’ mine, along with its slag heap, has been almost completely lost. Rearguard resistance is still ongoing, but the overall situation is already clear. Krymske is not just lost—the enemy has advanced to the ponds and managed to secure positions there. From the ‘Centralna’ mine, the enemy is attempting to push southward and towards the remaining areas of Zabalka. In short, we are preparing for the complete loss of Toretsk,”Miroshnikov wrote.
It should be noted that Russian forces previously claimed to have captured Toretsk on February 7. However, according to Ukrainian military sources, some parts of the city remain under Ukrainian control.
Additionally, Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson for the Hortytsia operational-strategic group of forces, stated that Toretsk remains under the control of the Defense Forces.
