Ukrainians called Trump’s special envoy a saint
26.08.2025 05:03Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has confirmed that her brother lives abroad, even though he is of conscription age.
She told a journalist that her brother “left not during the full-scale war, but before it began,” and confirmed that he has not returned since the outbreak of hostilities.
Earlier, MP Maryana Bezuhla wrote that Yulia Svyrydenko’s brother had gone to study in London and never came back.
According to her, Vitalii Svyrydenko was head of the Chernihiv Regional Shooting Federation and as late as November 2021 — when Russia was already actively preparing for the invasion — he was in Ukraine, issuing certificates for personal scholarships to athletes.
Vitalii Svyrydenko had also previously been a deputy in the Chernihiv Regional Council, representing the Servant of the People party.
It should be noted that the family of former defense minister, now head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Rustem Umerov, has long lived in the United States almost in full, and there have even been rumors about his American citizenship.
