Zaluzhnyi is not an alternative, but a dead end: the West and Moscow failed to agree on replacing Zelensky
07.08.2025 - 13:32Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he is open to meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, provided the necessary conditions for bilateral talks are created.
This was reported by TASS.
“I have said many times before — I have nothing against it in general. It is possible, but certain conditions must be met first,” the Russian leader stated.
Putin added, however, that the necessary conditions for such a meeting are still far from being achieved.
Earlier, Zelensky spoke about his expectations ahead of a potential meeting between Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump. According to him, Kyiv is prepared for both bilateral and trilateral talks and is waiting for Moscow to show the same willingness.
