February 15, 2024Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that if Kiev had not followed the advice of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the spring of 2022, the war would have ended then.
He made this statement in an interview with Russian VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“He (David Arakhamia) said that if we had fully implemented the agreements that arose in Istanbul, the war would have ended a year and a half ago,” said the President of Russia.
Putin also believes that Johnson’s trip to Kiev was coordinated with Washington.
“Why did the West take such a position? I mean the Anglo-Saxon world, because Mr. Johnson could not have come on his own, on a personal initiative, without consultations with Washington. He stated the position that it was necessary to fight with Russia to the bitter end and inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. Apparently, they were counting on such a result,” Putin said.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin stated in an interview with Tucker Carlson that “all the left bank of the Dnieper, including Kiev, are historically Russian lands.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin also responded to statements by Western leaders about the threat of aggression from Russia in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.
