February 7, 2024An interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin by American journalist Tucker Carlson will likely be published tomorrow, February 8th.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.
The announcement of the interview has already garnered over 65 million views on Carlson’s platform X.
Western journalists responded to Tucker Carlson’s statement that none of them even tried to interview Putin. Media professionals stated that they have been trying for years to secure an interview with the Russian president, but were ignored, unlike Carlson.
“It’s interesting to hear from Tucker Carlson that ‘not a single Western journalist bothered to get an interview’ with Putin after Russian troops entered Ukraine. Over the past year and a half, we’ve sent several requests to the Kremlin. We always get a ‘no’,” wrote Steve Rosenberg from the BBC.
“Tucker really thinks we, journalists, haven’t been trying to get an interview with President Putin every day since the start of his full-scale invasion of Ukraine? That’s absurd… We will continue to request interviews, as we have been doing for years,” said Christiane Amanpour from CNN.
