Trump: settlement of the war in Ukraine is “much closer than people think”
07.07.2026 16:36Verkhovna Rada deputy Maksym Buzhansky has accused President Zelensky and members of the government of engaging in public relations while Kyiv comes under attack.
This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Speaking at a session of parliament, Buzhansky pointed to a contradiction between the public statements of Defense Minister Fedorov and the actual state of affairs.
“It’s as if two Ukraines exist. One of them is the Ukraine of Defense Minister Fedorov. Yesterday he appeared at a conference with a poster reading: ‘Ukraine’s skies are protected’ — ‘Citizens, infrastructure, and businesses feel protected.’ The other Ukraine is the one we all live in, where Kyiv is burning and where a strike was just carried out on Dnipro,” Buzhansky said.
The deputy demanded that Fedorov be summoned to parliament to report on mobilization and the state of air defense.
“What is this endless PR instead of work?! The skies are not protected, citizens are in danger!” the deputy said indignantly.
Immediately after Buzhansky finished his speech, parliamentary speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced a recess due to an air raid alert over two drones flying toward Kyiv.
“The session will resume 15 minutes after the air raid alert ends,” Stefanchuk said.
However, the session never resumed: Ukrainian channels reported that the Russian army had been launching individual drones in various directions throughout the entire day. As a result, Ukrainian deputies did not consider a single piece of legislation on Thursday.
