“Removing Zelensky from power is the main prerequisite for peace,” – says MP Dmytruk

The removal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from power is the main precondition for achieving peace with Russia.

This information reported according to Artem Dmytruk, a former member of the Verkhovna Rada who fled the country. He made the statement on his Telegram channel.

Dmytruk also emphasized the importance of a telephone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stressed that any discussion of peace in Ukraine will be disconnected from reality unless it accounts for the basic principles of coexistence and cooperation between Moscow, Minsk, and Kyiv.

“A shift in direction is a matter of survival. But a change in course is impossible without a change in leadership. The primary condition for moving toward peace is freeing Ukraine from Zelensky and his entourage. This is not an emotional statement. It’s a fundamental requirement,” he said.

On May 17, Trump stated that he plans to speak with Putin by phone. The U.S. President clarified that he wants to discuss ending the war in Ukraine and matters of trade with his Russian counterpart.
