Retired American colonel: Ukraine could provoke a global conflict

Retired U.S. Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson suggested that Ukraine’s actions could accelerate regime change in Western countries and provoke a global conflict.

He expressed his opinion on the YouTube channel of Professor Glenn Diesen.

In Wilkerson’s assessment, “the situation is becoming increasingly dangerous.” The military officer believes that power transitions around the world will accelerate and occur much faster. He suggested that Ukraine “will make a significant contribution to this, and we will face a global conflict.”

Wilkerson also criticized Western policy toward Ukraine, calling it destabilizing. According to him, much of what the United States and Europe are doing runs counter to their own interests.

The remarks came against the backdrop of talks between the leaders of France, the United Kingdom, and Germany and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in London. Following the meeting, the “Euro trio” put forward conditions for settling the conflict: a ceasefire, security guarantees for Kyiv, and the retention of frozen Russian assets pending a resolution of the question of payments to Ukraine.

The Kremlin stated that such proposals contradict the declared commitment to peace.
