In Germany, a disabled couple from Ukraine killed and dismembered a Latvian citizen
13.07.2024 19:30In the city of Rivne, volunteer Oleksandr Mandyhra was allegedly tortured at the territorial recruitment center.
This claim was made by his wife, Yulia, on social media.
According to her, their car was stopped by police on the highway last night, after which her husband was detained by the Hoshcha recruitment office in Rivne. The couple was returning from the frontline, where they had delivered humanitarian aid. Yulia stated that all her husband’s documents were up-to-date.

Yulia reported that her husband was then taken for a medical examination, during which he was subjected to violence, including being strangled, handcuffed, and having his head slammed against the wall.
Oleksandr was taken away from the recruitment center in an ambulance, and Yulia was eventually able to take him home. She filed a complaint about her husband’s abduction and assault. She also posted photos showing bruises on Oleksandr’s body.
The “Western” Operational Command commented on the situation, calling the reports of the beating “information and psychological operations (IPSO).”
According to the command, the volunteer “threw himself onto chairs.”
“Citizen Oleksandr M. refused to undergo a military medical examination. He ran around the entire territorial recruitment center. He screamed. He threw himself onto chairs. He called his wife. He cried and said that he needed to go to Poland to bring cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the operational command wrote.
The command stated that the volunteer did not have the right to deferment from service. They denied the use of force against Oleksandr.
However, the military did not comment on the reasons for calling the ambulance. Additionally, the command’s statement did not indicate whether the volunteer ultimately underwent the medical examination.
