Romanian farmers have blocked a border checkpoint with Ukraine

This is reported by the State Border Guard Service. The blockade affects the Siret checkpoint, opposite the Ukrainian Porubne checkpoint in the Chernivtsi region.

Trucks are being halted, while the passage of cars, buses, and pedestrians continues as usual. Ukrainian border guards state that the reasons for the blockade and its estimated duration are unknown, potentially causing disruptions in both directions.

This follows earlier blockades by Polish and Slovak farmers at the Ukrainian border due to unfair competition, resulting in significant financial losses for Ukraine.
