Due to Russian strikes on critical infrastructure, Ukraine has lost several power stations and will not be able to cope with the loads that will arise as early as this summer.
This was stated by former Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Ivan Plachkov.
“We have lost more than 80% of thermal generation, which operates in base load and regulating mode. We no longer have the Kakhovska HES, and the DniproGES operates at minimal load, so the situation is indeed critical,” he admitted.
According to Plachkov, transfers from European countries will not be able to handle such capacities.
