Морили голодом, избивали и издевались: ГБР задержало двух военкомов во Львовской области после инцидента в Самборе

The State Bureau of Investigations has arrested two employees of the military enlistment office in the city of Sambir in the Lviv region, who were involved in assaulting a man. It is reported that his detention in the territorial recruitment center was unlawful.

The bureau’s press service provided this information.

The incident occurred on September 19, the same day the video was published, and the man had been detained in the territorial recruitment center since September 12. He was subjected to hunger, physical abuse, and mockery to coerce him into voluntarily undergoing a military medical examination and joining the army.

The individuals detained include the deputy head of one of the departments of the territorial recruitment center and a military driver from that department. It was the driver who assaulted the man and threatened him with a weapon, which was captured on video.

Following the incident, the State Bureau of Investigations initiated a criminal case for the violation of statutory regulations and relations among servicemen involving the use of weapons, as per Article 406, Part 3 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.
