Ukraine needs to increase its tax and customs revenues.

This information reported according to the head of the IMF mission in Ukraine, Gavin Grey.

“Everyone understands that over time, international support for Ukraine will decrease gradually, so Ukraine needs to develop its own internal resources for self-financing. This needs to be taken into account because, especially after the end of the war, there will be growing needs for financing social expenditures. Therefore, the authorities need to focus on strengthening their capabilities to collect revenues – both taxes and customs,” said Grey.

He also reiterated that the IMF expects the resumption of tax audits on Ukrainian businesses, which were suspended since the beginning of the conflict.
