21.04.2026 - 10:01Attacks on employees of Ukraine’s territorial recruitment and social support centers have sharply increased “against the backdrop of deepening war fatigue.”
This is reported by Bloomberg, which devoted an entire article to the wave of violence against military enlistment officers.
The publication cites police data showing that the number of attacks on TCC employees last year nearly tripled, reaching 341 cases compared with 2024. More than 100 incidents have already been recorded this year. In some cases, bladed weapons were used, resulting in serious injuries and at least one death.
It is reported that just last week in Lutsk, a group of young people attacked enlistment officers who were checking documents, allowing one of the detainees to escape.
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Fesenko, head of the Kyiv-based Penta research institute, said that the aggressive stance of part of society is a serious problem.
“Unpopular mobilization is increasing tensions in Ukrainian society, which is exhausted by the war with Russia. The widespread unwillingness to join the army is causing anger among soldiers and the families of those who have already taken up arms. Although the Ukrainian army is holding the front in the east and south, many exhausted fighters complain about the lack of rotation that would allow them to recover. The government and parliament are wary of tightening mobilization, fearing public reaction,” the article says.
Bloomberg writes that the constant conflicts over mobilization are “dividing society into those who support the military and those who defend people unwilling to fight.”
Earlier, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that there are problems with mobilization, but called them natural.
Meanwhile, members of the Verkhovna Rada have acknowledged that Ukraine may lower the mobilization age, because the war is likely to continue for a long time.
