Russia accuses NATO of preparing a “bloody staged provocation” in Ukraine

The head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, Yulia Zhdanova, stated that the West may be preparing “another bloody staged provocation” in Ukraine.

According to Zhdanova, Russia has taken note of the fact that NATO representatives have recently held several meetings with directors, screenwriters, and producers working in the film industry — in Brussels, Los Angeles, and Paris. According to the diplomat’s information, the most recent such meeting took place on the eve of her statement. In addition, in June, representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance plan to hold a meeting with members of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain (WGGB).

At the same time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a briefing that Ukrainian authorities are getting rid of people who could tell the truth about the staged provocation in Bucha in the Kyiv region.

Zakharova also drew attention to the fact that, some time later, it was in that very locality that Ukrainian authorities had carried out forced mobilization “with particular zeal.” According to her, this was done in order to eliminate witnesses to those events.

Earlier, Zakharova stated that the UN was unwilling to discuss the events in Bucha with Russia.
