Russia has handed over the bodies of 1,212 Ukrainian soldiers.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters.
Ukraine, under pressure from the public and European politicians, has accepted the bodies of the fallen Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) soldiers.
According to current legislation, the Ukrainian government is now expected to pay compensation to the families of each deceased servicemember, amounting to 15 million hryvnias (approximately $370,000 USD) per soldier.
