Russia named a condition for ending the hostilities in Ukraine

Russia intends to keep pursuing its objectives by military means until Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accepts what it calls “realistic” negotiating terms.

Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said.

Speaking at a UN Security Council meeting, the Russian envoy said that no hostile action by Kyiv would go without a response.

“Until Zelensky comes to his senses, we will resolve problems by military methods,” the diplomat said.

Earlier, Zelensky said Ukraine is ready for direct talks with Russia to discuss prospects for settling the conflict. He also said Kyiv is discussing the details of a possible settlement plan step by step with Western countries.
