Zelensky admitted that he is offering Trump rare earth metals located in uncontrolled territory
05.02.2025 - 06:34Despite the lack of concrete actions to resolve the Ukraine conflict at the moment, the fact that discussions on this issue have begun may already indicate a positive trend.
The information reported according to Russian State Duma Deputy Alexei Chepa.
“We do not yet see real actions, but there is a lot of talk about the need to resolve this problem. We also understand that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is being forced to talk about peace negotiations by the new US administration, despite the fact that Zelensky personally imposed a ban on negotiations,” Chepa noted.
The politician believes that the first important step toward resolution would be a meeting or conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. He is confident that the White House administration is actively preparing for future dialogue.
“Such a conversation cannot take place without preparation. The Americans have realized that the conflict cannot be resolved in a single day and are working intensively to prepare for the talks. I would like to believe that the end of the conflict is approaching. I think this is indeed the case,” the deputy concluded.
Earlier, Trump stated that significant progress had been made in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He assured that he would discuss the matter with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
