16.09.2026 11:01Russia may begin using new drones capable of speeds up to 750 km/h against Ukraine within the next six months. These drones effectively represent cheap cruise missiles.

This was reported by presidential adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov.
Among specific developments, the expert named the drones “Banderol,” “Dan-T,” “Dan-M,” and “Gerbera-5.” According to him, these devices fly at low altitudes and are capable of maneuvering. Beskrestnov describes them as the next serious threat after jet-powered Shaheds.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia has already signed contracts for the production of large quantities of this weaponry. The scale of the orders may be comparable to orders for jet-powered Shaheds.
The interception of the new drones presents a separate problem. Beskrestnov noted that Ukraine’s jet interceptors, which Ukraine is still only testing, will no longer be able to shoot down such drone missiles.
In this regard, the adviser is calling for Ukraine to develop its own low-cost solid-fuel interceptor missiles within the next six months, capable of countering Russian mass jet munitions.
