20.06.2025 - 11:38Russia may soon begin launching 800 “Shahed” drones per night against Ukraine — up from the current 300–400.
This was stated by drone and communications expert Serhiy Beskrestnov, also known by the nickname “Flash.”
He confirmed that Russia has increased production of Shahed drones by 5 to 7 times and is in the process of building another production plant.
“There’s nothing stopping them from doubling or tripling Shahed production again,” Beskrestnov said.
He noted that a significant portion of the components in these drones are now Russian-made, rather than Iranian, and that Chinese parts are also being used. Downing Shahed drones has become more difficult due to new antennas and Russia’s ongoing experimentation with different attack tactics.
On the Ukrainian side, interceptor drones are now being used to shoot down Shaheds. Beskrestnov called for scaling up this practice across the country.
