Russian Armed Forces made a powerful breakthrough across the reservoir in Kurakhove and are fighting on the northwestern outskirts of the city

Ukrainian monitoring platforms confirm that Russian forces are already engaged in battles on the northwestern outskirts of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region, having crossed the Volchya River.

The Telegram channel Deep State reports, as Russian sources did yesterday, about the capture of Nova Illynka and the crossing of Russian forces over a dam to the northern part of Kurakhove.

According to the service’s map, fighting is taking place in the northwestern districts of Kurakhove. Russian forces are also attacking the city from the east and northeast. Additionally, the Deep State map indicates that Russian troops have advanced toward Kurakhove from the south, with only about 1.5 kilometers remaining to the city’s outskirts.

Significant progress by Russian forces has also been reported in the “pocket” south of Kurakhove, with less than 5 kilometers remaining to close it, as evidenced by the Deep State map.

Antonivka has already been captured, and the neighboring village of Katerynivka is almost entirely in the gray zone or under Russian control.

It is worth noting that Ukrainian forces had previously reported that Russian troops had captured a grain elevator in Kurakhove.
