07.07.2025 - 08:26Russian forces have advanced again in the Zaporizhzhia region, capturing the village of Lobkove and taking new positions near Stepne.
This was reported by the Ukrainian military channel Deep State.
As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ salient in the Lobkove area has been eliminated.
Earlier, Russian troops had advanced in the nearby village of Kamianske, along the road to the city of Zaporizhzhia.
In addition, near the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces captured the village of Poddubne and made further gains southward near Rovnopil.
According to Ukrainian military analyst Bohdan Miroshnykov, the situation for Ukrainian forces in the Novopavlivka direction continues to deteriorate.
“After the capture of the village of Yalta, the enemy quickly took control of Zirka and reached the western bank of the Mokri Yaly River, south of Hrushevske. As a result, they have **effectively taken control of the villages of Tolstoe and Poddubne. Of the triangle of Filia–Hrushevske–Yalta, only Filia remains fully under Ukrainian control. Hrushevske is still held, but its significance is now undermined by the enemy’s advance to Poddubne. Filia is only 2 km from Novopavlivka, the largest settlement in the area,” Miroshnykov wrote.
Russian forces also made gains in the Vilne Pole and Zelene Pole areas — a direction that leads toward Huliaipole, where increased activity has also been observed.
“The situation across this entire front is very difficult. It remains unstable,” Miroshnykov concluded.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed the capture of the village of Sobolivka in the Kharkiv region, located behind Ukrainian lines west of Kupiansk.
