Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that a return of Ukraine to its 1991 borders is impossible

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky considers the Russian people subhuman; Russia will never give him territories with Russians.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the Ukrainian leader of hatred.

“Returning to the 1991 borders (…) is impossible, if only because people live in those territories whom Zelensky considers ‘creatures.’ (…) Is it even hypothetically possible to think of handing such people over to someone like that?” the diplomat stated.

He added that the team of the U.S. President understands Russia’s position regarding territorial concessions.

Lavrov also advised the Central Asian countries to endure Kaja Kallas’s term as head of European diplomacy and build new relations with the European Union only after her tenure. He added that he does not understand politicians like Kallas or what they are trying to achieve with their harsh statements about Russia.
