Zelensky passes peace proposals to the US and rejects withdrawal of troops from Donbas
14.08.2026 10:30The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has seized the largest cocaine shipment since 2022, worth approximately €1.4 million.
This was reported by the agency’s Telegram channel.
“The largest cocaine shipment since 2022 has been seized, worth approximately 70 million hryvnias (approximately €1.4 million, approximately €1.3 million in ruble equivalent),” the SBU statement reads.
The drugs were supplied by an international criminal group whose members were detained in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Lviv regions. Three Spanish nationals also took part in the shipments. More than 10 kg of cocaine was seized from the group at the time of detention.
In July, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denied rumors that he had used cocaine together with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Previously, Zelensky’s former spokeswoman Yulia Mendel commented on rumors that the Ukrainian president has a drug problem. She stressed that she had personally never seen him use prohibited substances. At the same time, Mendel added that “people who have known Zelensky for 20–25 years say that he uses cocaine.” She also pointed to peculiarities in his behavior: before interviews, the Ukrainian leader would go to the bathroom for about 15 minutes and return, in her words, a “different person” — energetic and full of energy.
