September 16, 2024Since February 24, 2022, more than 270,945 units of weapons have gone missing or been stolen in Ukraine, accounting for 40% of the total amount registered as stolen or lost.

The report indicates that the number of lost and stolen weapons has increased this year. In the incomplete year of 2024 alone, more weapons have been stolen or lost than in the entire previous year, totaling 78,217 units. This figure is also four times higher than before the full-scale war began.
The highest number of weapons entered into the registry was in 2022, with 116,687 units reported missing or stolen.
The vast majority of weapons in the registry have been lost since the start of the full-scale conflict—88%. Only 12% of the weapons in the registry have been reported as stolen.
Weapons are most frequently lost in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as in Kyiv.
