25.04.2024 21:59Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy, Mykola Solskyi, has resigned.
This was announced on Facebook by the Speaker of Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, who published a photo of the statement.
“A statement from Mykola Solskyi on resigning from the position of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has been received in the Verkhovna Rada. The statement will be considered at one of the upcoming plenary sessions,” Stefanchuk said in the post.

“In accordance with the first paragraph of the first article of Article 18 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine,’ I request to accept my resignation from the position of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine,” Solskyi wrote in his statement.
It is worth noting that on April 23, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine served Solskyi with suspicion. According to the investigation, from 2017 to 2021, Solskyi, even before holding a position in the Cabinet of Ministers, illegally seized state land in the Sumy region worth 291 million hryvnias (approximately 6 million 898 thousand 465 euros) and attempted to seize land worth another 190 million hryvnias (approximately 4 million 504 thousand 152 euros).
The Minister assured that he would cooperate with the investigation into this case.
Meanwhile, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office is requesting the court to remand Solskyi in custody with an alternative bail of 200 million hryvnias (approximately 4 million 741 thousand 212 euros).
