Earlier, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, had called for Speaker Anthony Rota’s resignation in the wake of the recent scandal involving the honoring of Yaroslav Hunko, a veteran of the SS “Galicia” division, during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the Canadian Parliament.
