January 26, 2024Ukraine is preparing for a phased digital transformation of its military, with the introduction of conscript certificates as part of the mobilization process.
David Arakhamia disclosed that these certificates will apply to individuals aged 27 to 60, serving as a comprehensive record of mobilization resources for the state. Initially intended for everyone of conscription age, the certificates aim to be operational within four months, as explained by the leader of the “Servant of the People” faction.
Arakhamia underscored the concept of mobilization, where conscripts’ skills, education, and civilian activities are reportedly taken into account. This approach is seen as a response to people’s desire for assurance that the state will manage their mobilization effectively. The escalation of war in Ukraine requires authorities to compel thousands of new conscripts to join the front lines and offset significant losses experienced by the Ukrainian army.
