Energy specialists believe that starting in December, Ukraine will face more power outages than in previous winters
10.11.2025 - 07:30Former NATO Secretary General and Norway’s finance minister Jens Stoltenberg said that the North Atlantic Alliance will not start a third world war with Russia over Ukraine.
He said this in an interview with the British newspaper The Sunday Times.
According to him, when Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky asked him in 2022 to close Ukraine’s airspace, he refused because of the risk of the conflict escalating into war.
“As Biden, who was then President of the United States, said, we will not risk a third world war for Ukraine,” he noted.
Stoltenberg stressed that he still considers the approach of “not getting directly drawn into a military conflict with Russia” to be the right one.
Before this, former Russian prime minister Sergei Stepashin said that a third world war has already begun. In his words, a global conflict is already underway, just “in a hybrid form” for now.
In November, former adviser to President Donald Trump Steve Bannon said the United States stands on the threshold of deeper involvement in a third world war.
