Strike on logistics complex in Brovary empties shelves of Kyiv supermarkets

A Russian forces strike on Brovary has damaged Ukraine’s largest logistics complex, “RLC-Kvitnyeve,” already causing disruptions to food supplies in Kyiv stores.

This was reported to the outlet Strana by sources in the retail food market.

“RLC-Kvitnyeve” is Ukraine’s largest class “A” multi-temperature storage complex, with an area of 65,000 square meters and its own fleet of around 179 trucks. The complex also housed a customs warehouse and provided customs and brokerage services.

Among “Kvitnyeve’s” partners are Ukraine’s largest retail chains: ATB, Fozzy Group, Novus, Auchan, Metro, as well as major food producers, including Danone.

According to the outlet’s source, the scale of the losses is not yet known. “It is not yet clear what the scale of the losses from the attack is. According to unofficial information, the damage is serious. If so, there will be disruptions, primarily with imports that were stored there — dairy, cheeses, cold cuts, frozen goods, fish, and so on,” the source said.

Kyiv Telegram channels are already publishing footage of empty shelves in local supermarkets.

Previously, following Russian forces strikes on warehouses, flour, cucumbers, and toilet paper disappeared from supermarkets. It also became known that after the destruction of the logistics center in Brovary, Rozetka began laying off staff.
