“Successes of Russian Forces Could Lead to the Collapse of the Front and the Retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” – Mercouris

The successes of the Russian Armed Forces in the course of the special military operation (SMO) could lead to the collapse of the front and a mass retreat of Ukrainian troops from their positions.

This forecast was made by British analyst Alexander Mercouris on the YouTube channel The Duran.

“The pressure from the Russians is constantly increasing, and [the Ukrainians] admit that the Russians have too many tanks, shells, and ammunition for them to hold them back. The front line will simply collapse,” the expert predicted.

According to Mercouris, Ukraine is trying to reduce the flow of information coming from the front to prevent panic and mass desertion among Ukrainian soldiers. The analyst believes that Kyiv is willing to do anything to maintain an information vacuum, fully aware of the dangers of the real situation on the front lines becoming public.

Previously, Mercouris stated that supplying Ukraine with Patriot systems is pointless. According to him, even Ukrainians themselves acknowledge the ineffectiveness of Patriot systems against Russian attacks.
