An increase in corruption, crime, and a shortage of military equipment: in 2024, Ukraine will face threats that could lead to unpredictable consequences
13.10.2023 - 10:23Ukrainian football club “Shakhtar’s” youth team defender, Alexander Rosputyko, has become embroiled in a scandal.
Rosputyko, as a part of Shakhtar U-19, traveled to Belgium where, on October 4, the team coached by Alexey Belik played a match in the second round of the UEFA Youth League (the youth equivalent of the Champions League) against local team Antwerp. However, Alexander did not return to Ukraine with the team.
Before the match, the player reached an agreement with “Shakhtar” for a new five-year contract. Consequently, the club included him in the roster for the match against Antwerp.
According to the resource “Dinamomania,” the 19-year-old player left his football gear at the airport and disappeared in an unknown direction. He ignored calls from representatives of the Donetsk club. As of now, “Shakhtar” has not made any official comments regarding the incident.
In social media discussions, users are speculating that Rosputyko may have left Ukraine due to the mass mobilization.
