Zelensky acknowledged the changes in the attitude of some Western partners to the needs of Kiev

The President of Ukraine also said that he was morally ready for a long confrontation with Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he felt changes in the attitude of some Western partners to the needs of Kiev.

“I have this intuition, I read, hear and see their eyes [when they say]: “We will always be with you,” but I see that he or she is not here, [he or she] is not with us,” he said in an interview with The Economist magazine. At the same time, Zelensky warned that “if the partners do not help [Ukraine], then they will help Russia win.”

Speaking about the prospects of the conflict, he said that he was mentally ready for a long confrontation with Russia. “I have to be ready; my team has to be ready for a long war, and emotionally I am ready,” he said. At the same time, the President added, it is too early to present to the Ukrainian people the prospect of complete militarization of the economy.

Two days earlier, Zelensky also stated that the pace of hostilities, the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions and the supply of Western weapons to Kiev is slowing down.
